On August 14, 2008, Neil Kornfeld obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a podiatric surgeon. Plaintiff, a 37 year-old female, claimed that the defendant failed to perform an adequate pre-operative work up and incorrectly diagnosed her condition. She claimed that the defendant performed the wrong surgery resulting in the need for two additional surgeries and permanent injury.
Mr. Kornfeld successfully argued that the diagnosis was correct and that the surgery was indicated. The plaintiff required additional surgeries as a result of her underlying condition.
The jury returned a unanimous verdict in 20 minutes.
