FKB's Andrew R. Jones is admitted to practice as a Solicitor in England and Wales.3/18/2011

On March 18, 2011, Andrew Jones was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in England and Wales (United Kingdom). Mr. Jones also simultaneously became a member of The Law Society of England and Wales.

Mr. Jones is a graduate of Kings College London, School of Law, where he received an LLB law degree with honors. During and after his law degree, Mr. Jones worked for a Lloyd's insurance broker then a general liability defense law firm in New York City. Mr. Jones later spent 4 years with a professional liability defense firm in New York before becoming an associate of FURMAN KORNFELD & BRENNAN LLP in 2008, and a partner in 2010.

Andrew's recent qualification adds to FKB's already extensive experience and ability to handle matters arising out of, or involving, the law of England and Wales. This includes matters based in London, England, and many other overseas jurisdictions, as well as matters in which policy 'choice of law' is unclear and may involve interpretation of the laws of both New York and/or England and Wales.

In addition to Andrew's qualification as a Solicitor, FKB Partner, R. Evon Idahosa is admitted to practice as a Barrister in England and Wales; from 1997 to 1999, A. Michael Furman worked in London for a major Lloyd's syndicate, served on various London market committees, and was co-chair of the Int'l/London Sub-committee of the Insurance Coverage Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation; and Mike, Evon, Andrew Jones and Andrew S. Kowlowitz, have represented the London insurance market in connection with several high profile, high exposure matters including the World Trade Center/September 11, 2001 liability insurance coverage litigation, IPO Laddering litigation, Adelphia class action lawsuit, and the Lernout & Hauspie-related litigation. Andrew, Evon, Mike and Andrew Kowlowitz are supported by numerous highly talented associates and support staff.
