Younie J. Choi, born in Seoul, South Korea, is an associate attorney focusing on legal malpractice, professional liability, and medical malpractice.

Ms. Choi earned her B.A. in English from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo. She received her J.D., with a concentration in Criminal Law from the University of Buffalo Law School, where she was the Managing Editor of the Buffalo Criminal Law Review.

Following law school, Ms. Choi was an Assistant District Attorney at the Nassau County District Attorney's Office. There, she was assigned to both the trial and investigative bureaus, handling a wide spectrum of cases ranging from misdemeanors to violent felonies. During her tenure as a prosecutor, Ms. Choi supervised a number of physical and electronic surveillance operations, conducted numerous grand jury proceedings and pre-trial hearings, and tried several cases to verdict.

Prior to joining FURMAN KORNFELD & BRENNAN LLP in 2010, Ms. Choi was an associate of a medical malpractice defense firm in New York City, where s he specialized in the defense of doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals.

Ms. Choi is admitted to practice in the State of New York (2005) and the Southern District of New York (2009).
