Younie J. Choi, born in Seoul, South Korea, is an associate attorney focusing on legal malpractice, professional liability, and medical malpractice.

Ms. Choi earned her B.A. in English from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo. She received her J.D., with a concentration in Criminal Law from the University of Buffalo Law School, where she was the Managing Editor of the Buffalo Criminal Law Review.

Following law school, Ms. Choi was an Assistant District Attorney at the Nassau County District Attorney's Office. During her tenure as a prosecutor, Ms. Choi was assigned to both the trial and Rackets bureaus, where she conducted surveillance operations, obtained numerous grand jury indictments, and tried several cases to verdict.

Prior to joining Furman Kornfeld & Brennan LLP in 2010, Ms. Choi was an associate of a medical malpractice defense firm in New York City, where she specialized in the defense of doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals.

Ms. Choi is a fluent speaker of Korean.
