Melissa A. Knitter, born in Brockport, New York, is an associate attorney practicing in the areas of general liability litigation and medical malpractice defense.

Ms. Knitter graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Psychology in 2003. In 2007, Ms. Knitter received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.

After earning her law degree, Ms. Knitter held the position of Law Clerk to Hon. Mark A. Baber, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson County. She was an associate with a medical malpractice defense firm in New Jersey prior to joining Furman Kornfeld & Brennan in 2010.

Ms. Knitter is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
