Kathryn C. Collins, born in Wurtzburg, Germany, is a senior associate attorney specializing in the counseling and defense of hospitals, physicians, podiatrists, dentists and other healthcare professionals in matters of medical malpractice. Ms. Collins represents individual physicians and medical institutions, through all phases of litigation including trial, in matter alleging professional negligence and malpractice. Ms. Collins' practice also includes counseling institutional clients on matters of risk management. Ms. Collins has experience trying medical malpractice cases as well as all types of personal injury actions including construction accident liability, products liability and negligence cases in both Federal and State Courts and has negotiated favorable settlements for her clients

Ms. Collins graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Purchase with a Bachelors of Arts in English in 1997 and received her Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2001.

Ms. Collins is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Trial Lawyers Section) as well as the American Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York, before the Eastern and Southern United States District Courts of New York, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. Prior to joining FURMAN KORNFELD & BRENNAN LLP, Ms. Collins was associated with a national insurance defense firm in New York City.
