July 31, 2012: Neil Kornfeld lectured to 2nd year medical students on issues related to medical malpractice, informed consent, tort reform and strategies to avoid lawsuits.
July 27, 2012: Neil Kornfeld and Dara Endres obtained a defense verdict in Supreme Court, Greene County before Judge Richard Platkin. The trial involved allegations that the defendant doctor negligently performed a plantar fascia release resulting in the development of a flat foot and the need for reconstructive foot surgery to restore the plaintiff’s arch. The plaintiff underwent additional surgeries and her current treating orthopedist testified that she will most likely require additional surgery. Plaintiff also alleged lack of informed consent.
May 3, 2012: Neil Kornfeld and Jennie Lundman obtained a defense verdict in Supreme Court, Rockland County before Judge Margaret Garvey. The trial involved allegations that the defendant doctor negligently administered an injection that resulted in a MRSA infection that required approximately 11 surgeries. Plaintiff also claimed that the defendant doctor failed to diagnose the infection.
April 24, 2012: Neil Kornfeld lectured to 4th year medical students on issues related to medical malpractice and lack of informed consent at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
